Jan I think he dropped it some 2 or more years ago, I have not chatted with him for 2 years probably. he was working on a bf 110 site as well which does not work either. the front page still works, you could send an e-mail if anyone responds ?

Jan I have sent him at least 5-6 different notes at different times, none of them have been rejected but he wishes not to respond...........he may just be very busy with work and does not wish to correspond with anyone by mail anymore which is very sad ..........

Many thanks for your interest. As you seen in the site U617 are in the past a very valuable site plenty of information and documents.
The investigation of the U-617 is today not completed. With the documents of Karl, would be more interesting.

Jana do you and your interested friends have access in some way to the German archivs at Freiburg and or Berlin, Aachen ? I am almost positive Karl received much in the way of KM materials from Freiburg from our email conversations in the past. He was trying very hard to access all texts from Freiburg for his work on the Bf 110, pilots and operational missions, so I would expect him to do the same for the KM U-boots as well

I'm somewhat surprised Jan that the site is back online really, but maybe he is back from his many long trips from work, I note the update at January's end...........and hopeful he will have more pages of fotos as it stops at seite 2.
