Klaus Feldt, RKT Schnellboots kommandantur.
Well, some of you might just remember that a few of us were discussing this man and having photo's of etc. Well, sorry I still have no means for posting photo's or i'd gladly post the three I now have of this Gentleman.
I sent off and recieved a very quick reply from Herr Feldt. This man was generous in not only signing a copy of an original HH PK press fotos of him that I purchased several years ago but, he was also nice enough to send me another signed photo of himself showing him from the front.
Now what I found interesting and astounding at the same time was, that on the right side of his uniform, he was also wearing the Spanish Cross in Bronze w/ crossed swords. The interesting thing was that I never knew he had been awarded as such. I do know that he was a very rare bird of sorts because, at the time that Grossadmiral Erich Raeder was awarding him his Knights Cross (as an Oberleutnant zur See) that in my photo, you can clearly see that he had also been awarded the Destroyer War Badge as well as a Minesweeper Badge.
Being a highly successful Schnellboots commander that he was, undoubtedly he was also awarded the Eboat badge, however not yet awarded to him in my photo. This wasa rare thing to have a member of the Wehrmacht sporting badges he earned in different branches of whichever part of the military he had served in.
I have seen photo's more commonly encountered showing Luftwaffe personnel wearing two types of badges, such as: a Fallschirmjager wearing his Para badge as well as that for Ground Combat. However, seeing a man serving in the Navy sporting two (and in Feldt's case-possibly three badges) is almost akin to winning the mega-state lotto.
Anyway, it is in my hopes that Erich will see this thread, and post his photo's of Feldt, if they came in already-here in this thread.

Thanks Carl, I will wait and hope we"ll get the chance to see one of your photos. The combination of the two badges is original to say the least. It's the first time I hear of that.
