I understand that the 1st Airborne Division presented a maroon silk banner to this unit to commemorate their crossing into the Oosterbeek perimeter during Market Garden. Does anyone know if this banner is on display anywhere? Perhaps the Dorsetshire Military Museum in Dorchester???

I do not know.Its some time since I visited the museum.
In the middle of Corfe Castle, in the Isle of Purbeck the entrance to the church yard has a saying on Dorset dialect.
it says simply this;
"Dorset men do not Shame their kind" All those that came from Dorset served with distinction, It seems to me to be the very heart of English Yeomen.
