In fact, there were two, both posthumous - 351st BG's Walter Truemper ( of
Ten Horsepower fame ), and the 447th BG's Robert E Femoyer.
Lt. Femoyer's MOH action occurred over Merseburg/Leuna on 2nd November 1944 ( a target discussed on these forums by 'B17Sam', who visited the same place later that month ).

I believe that a memorial to Lt Femoyer has been placed on the Control Tower at Rattlesden Airfield and it's now on my list of places to visit....
