CASTLE GATE HOTEL IN YORK

Does anybody have any memories of the Gastle Gate Hotel/Pub in York (North Yorkshire) during the years 1944/45. I'm particularly interested if you have any memories of the Landlady. I believe that it was used a lot by RCAF, any threads of information would be of interest. Thank you.
