Default Juno Beach

Just came across this amazing article entitled "The Victory and the Cost" detailing the landings of Juno Beach written for the 65th Anniversary of D-Day. Great author (J. L. Granatstein), and truly stunning photos.

The Victory And The Cost | Legion Magazine

also take a look at their Canadian Military History Section - pretty detailed stuff for history buffs.

The casualties could have been alot higer on Juno beach if it hadn't been for Hobart's funnies. (specialized tanks fitted with thinks to detonate mines, destroy bunkers, lay bridges over barbed wire, etc. )

Thanks for the links. There have been some good articles in the Legion Magazine. Have a look for some of the ones by Terry Copp as well.

If you want some other links try looking here Websites for WWII or Related Research (i.e. Family History) I tried to have links to many sources, but did have many Canadian ones as it is where my own research has been concentrated.

Try searching for Canada or Canadian and you will be surprised at how much has been shared and written on the Forum.
