Default US Army unit ID

I have just come across the following unit designation on a notice board shown in a photograph of the 'Roosevelt - Stalin Bridge' (pontoon bridge over the Elbe at Magdeburg in late 1945): ENGR HYPOW BN. Anyone know what HYPOW stands for?

Cheers

ALAN
