Default Sino-American Cooperative Organization

Hey gang,

Thought I'd start a thread on SACO and maybe find out more about it. I know it was basically a Navy operation that involved some Marines (scouts and raiders mostly) training and fighting with Chinese troops and the Chinese underground.

I'm mainly looking to find out if there were every any Army personnel stationed with SACO - specifically signal corps. Is there a roster out there of personnel associated (aside from the AAD/NARA one for Naval Intelligence personnel?)

I've attached a link with a list of good sites about SACO. I look forward to hearing your thoughts and knowledge!

Were you able to talk about this with him? Do you have photos of him?

My father served with SACO during WWII. I believe he was stationed at Chunking. We have photos of some of the camp and the "white house".

Please check out www.saconavy.com. There is a list of men that served in SACO and coming early next year, the list will include the years they served for SACO and also the camps they served at. There are also pictures from China. If anyone can identify any of the men, please send me an email at saconavy@sbcglobal.net.
