Yo Peppy, Could you add this or an improved by you version to the smilies? This is one that tends to come in useful especially in the What If section.

Re: Smilies suggested
Excellent Smiley....beating a dead horse.... Please ADD.
If there is one anywhere which portrays saying....What's your point? WYP? This would be a picture worth a thousand words.
Like, I care about this/that because?...ICATB
or, This is important to us because?...TIITUB
Or, Other than stirring ashes, this accomplishes what exactly? OTSATAWE?

Re: Smilies suggested
That's a great graphic Za. I've been chatting with Peppy about this, and we will add it but not as a smilie, as all smilies must be 16 pixel or less in height.
As far as adding the beating a dead horse image, I actually already did add it on the old Forums in the WWII Forums Web Gallery, it's a few pages in: http://ww2forums.com/gfx/index.php?&offset=99
Just a quick note about using the old Web Gallery, I' wouldn't use any until I can import them to the new domain. You can use them now, but them will dissappear from the old location in June, so all you images will end being red X's in a few months.

We now have this file on our local server Za, you should be able to see it in this gallery page here: http://www.ww2f.com/gfx/index.php?f=Smilies.pc0

Teapot that will last for 1000 years.
Deciding that my house desperately needed a Hitler Teapot more than anything else (after seeing that picture), I found one for sale... The price has sadly deterred me:

Re: Teapot that will last for 1000 years.
I say, Otto and/or Peppy, could I ask you to insert the link to the forum gallery to the top command bar or something so we can have easier access, or something like the smilies gallery? Otherwise picking a .gif is a chore.
Or maybe there is already an easier way but I can't see it.

Re: Smilies suggested
za I am not sure how much easier it could be, going to your right out of the reply box and pick a smiley.
of course you could have your own personals already on your photobucket acct or whatever you have for ready use for attack at any given time..... ?

Re: Smilies suggested
Well you guys are actually talking about two different things. Smilies, ( ) are the little icons you see to the right of the posting box. They are all 16 pixels high or less, so that inserting them into your text won't mash up the paragraph formatting. The entire list of smilies can be seen here: http://www.ww2f.com/misc.php?do=showsmilies
Then we have the WWII Forums Web Gallery, which is a huge collection of graphics and animations that you Rogues can place into your posts. These are much larger images that can be used to spice up a post, but the there are no size restrictions on the WWIIF Web Gallery, so inserting these into posts might alter your paragraphs and add to browser load speeds. The WWII Forums Web Gallery is located here: http://ww2f.com/gfx
Both are great little tools to play with as you posts, and I'll have to take Za's advice and make a more prominent link to the Gallery so that you Rogues can access it a little more easily.

Re: Smilies suggested
Here you go Za, I've tossed a link to the WWII Forums Web Gallery into the Posting Rules box. I've attached a pic so you can see where it is. This should make it a little easier for you Rogues out there to add images to your posts.

Re: Smilies suggested
Hey if your complaints make the Forums more functional (like this case here), then keep the complaints coming!
FYI, Peppy was over at my place today, he has a bunch more Web Gallery additions, including some soviet themed images, which I know to be close to your heart.
And congratulations on crossing the 2,000 post mark! Have a cookie on me.

All things being equal, the gifs will always work, but you need to insert the raw image URL to get it to appear in your post. When you get into the web gallery, make sure you click on the image you want, and it will appear alone in the upper left of your browser. Then copy the URL in your addess bar, this will work. In any case I've edited your link to the appropriate image.

Great picture Kai, I was actually looking for this one to add. I've put in in the Bulletin Board Animations (BBAnims) folder with some other funny animated gifs.
