Otto et al,

Do you have listing of the medals attached to our names. I want to know what they are but I am too lazy to look them up. I know the first one, I just got out of WW2F hospital after earning it.

  3. Wound Badge in Gold - Germany
  4. Distinguished Service Medal - USA
  5. Order of the Great Patriotic War - USSR
  6. Cross for War Merit - Italy
  7. Distinguished Flying Cross - UK
  8. Frontflugspange fur Fern-Nachtjager im Gelb mit Einsatzzahl 1,200. (Luftwaffe Night Fighter Clasp for 1,200 missions) - Germany
  9. Order of the Sacred Treasure - Japan

I must say I had no idea that something came after the Knight's Cross......

If Kai and C. Evans havent earned one of these with over 10,000 posts, well then im afraid to ask as to what one must do to earn one

  1. Hero of the Soviet Union - USSR
  2. Congressional Medal of Honor - USA
  3. Victoria Cross - UK
  4. Knight's Cross - Germany
Thanks Otto.

These I recognized, although I hate to refer to the Medal of Honor with that C word appended to the front. It gives that gaggle of ne'er-do-wells more importance than they could possibly deserve. I refer to the lower chamber as the House of Reprehensibles and I haven't thought of a good name for the upper chamber.

Thanks Slon ;-))

And Slipdigit, the absolute correct name for our country's highest award does not have the "C" in it. The award (according to the official MoH Society website is: Medal of Honor. When referring to those great men who have this award-the correct way of addressing them is: Medal of Honor Recipients.

Honest, I didn't dream this up--that is how THEY say it.

I'm curious, how many posts does it take to get the last one? I'm guessing 20 000

Don't listed to that prankster Carl, Joe!

Under the current system, a new medal is awarded every 1,000 posts, so the next one comes in a 11,000 posts.

uh, I'll have to look at the considerations offered and then talk to my pal, Guido, who has certain friends who are well placed and they will need er..uh, shall we say...um, coaxing.

You're not making Guido talk to his contacts for nothing, are you? I'd hate to see your knee caps broken, not that he would have ANYTHING to do with it. You might have an accident and that would be bad.
