Normal way, press the log out button and a small window comes up asking are you sure you want to out and press OK.
When I come back here I do not appear as who is on line but soon as I select any forum bingo I'm back without logging in.

Re: Log in problem
Seems like the cookies are not actually removed when we log out. Same thing happened to me.

Re: Log in problem
I cracked it just checked my Ccleaner and I got two WW2F cookies kept so I removed them ran the cleaner came back here and this time I had to log in, seems to me if you keep the cookies you don't need to log in just click a forum and your in.
Thanks to PzJgr about the cookies I now know whats going on.

Re: Log in problem
The ww2f server won't let you post unless your browser identifies you as a specific member. When you click "log out" the server cuts off your connection, so if you return and are able to post, your browser is set to record and submit your passwords. Cookies are used to record your sessions so you won't have to log in every time you post.Automatically being able to post when you get here is not a really a problem unless you are using a public computer. I haven't entered my password for this site for about 3 months now. Cookies don't actually get removed after a visit unless you set your computer to delete them.

Re: Log in problem
Somewhat related to this, whenever I want to access the Greatest WW2 Forum On Earth I have to log in every time as even if I select the 'remember me' option, I keep getting forgotten, and quite frankly that's very bad for my ego.
I'm no on any 'reject cookies' mode ?m aware of, so does any one know what's happening?

Re: Log in problem
I'm not too sure Za, I have no problems getting in without signing on. Sometime when I first visit is asks me for my username and password, but once I make my next click to anywhere else on the boards I'm logged in. Could this be what is happening to you?

Re: Log in problem
No, every time I leave the forum and reenter later I have to log in again, even after clicking the 'remember me' box.
This has been running on for the last few days, never happened before, it's not happenning to other forums, and I haven't touched on any restrictions on accepting cookies.
Most likely this is Slip getting back at me for my comments, I have no other explanation

Re: Log in problem
Za, in fact you are "permalinked" without knowing it. Instead of logging in evey time, just answer a post or clic on your private messages and you will be logged in without your pass word. The same same happened to me a while ago.

Re: Log in problem
The boards hate you Miguel, and that rabbi of yours too.
Maybe try clearing your browser cookies and cache and all that other usual crap?

Re: Log in problem
That's because za is not Texan,
the central computer probably thinks the Rabbi is a potential red threat or something. .

Re: Log in problem
It worked, Peppy! I usually clean up my cookie repository, but my kids got mad at the new connection and I had thousands of crazy cookies they've been collecting. I got rid of all that crap and now it's working fine, my cookies don't get lost in the muck!

Re: Log in problem
You need to employ the Cookie Monster like everyone else does. That will solve all your problems (yes! They have managed to clone the Cookie Monster!)
