of militaria.

The "animals" I hunt for are:

Iron Cross 1st classes (1914 and 1939 species only). ((Sometimes I hunt for the Austrian species too))

Iron Cross 2nd Classes (1870, 1914 and 1939 species only). ((Sometimes I hunt for the Austrian Species too))

Flandern Crosses (1914-1918) and Flandern Mini Crosses only species only.

Hanseatic Crosses (Lubeck, Hamburg and Breman species only).

Long Service crosses Imperial and third reich species only.

Loyalty to the Regiment Crosses Species only.

Warriors Cross in Iron (Prussian Species only).

Franz-Friedrich Officers Cross (Unknown species).

Friedrich-Anhalt Crosses (Brunswick Species only).

King Karl Troop Cross (Austrian species only--it tastes better and isnt so tough))

Military Merit Crosses 3rd class with crown and crossed swords ( Prussian Species only).

Sometimes I even hunt for the VERY elusive 1914-1918 War Cross of Honor Cross (for frontline fighters) a.k.a. Hindenburg Cross.

Im not sure if I left any out--will know sometime in the future.

Jumbo--that reminds me of an old saying my dad used to say: "Sergeants Are Born--Not Made" I was too young at that time to understand the meaning--but not now.

Friedrich will become famous soon enough
In that case I like hunting too!

I hunt for young and cute people to love... OOOPS!!! (I have just remembered that I am not allowed to... If I do this I will be kicked out of the house... )

Talking seriously, I would like to hunt my first piece of militaria, and this would be very nice to begin with this:

If you want to post pictures you must first place them on an internet server. My provider gives me free space where I can save files. After you did that you can make these pictures visible in this forum. When you make a post press the IMAGE button. Then a window pops up where you have to type in the hyperlink tot the picture.

I am a hunter too and I hunt for:

waffenrock infantery
feldbluse infantery
SA tunic
silver wound badge
golden wound badge
headgear of the infantery
Luftwaffe dagger 1st en 2nd type
Krim, Kuban and Narvik shield
Documents for the medals
Soldbuch for infantery

fastballs to hit out of the ball park (I never succeeded in this).

Mr Evans

I think I got made Sergeant because I can give commands in German and have a good voice: I can screw up a company dispersal as well as the next man.

I've got to get back into practice as we're off to Auerstadt next month to run away from the French...

Hahaha!

Yes, those are reasons to be a sergeant. I think Jumbo is like SPR's sergeant Horvath...

BTW, do you know he looks pretty much like his avatar?

I hunt slightly different stuff from the norm. No medals or dress, or even much officer type stuff. I like field equipment and dress - the more "used" the better, as I know the stuff was not sitting in a warehouse, behind a desk, etc. durning the war. My favorite was an m-41 jacket still covered in what I'm pretty sure was the filth of europe (it had an armored div. patch on it.) I've got a medic bag that has quite a bit of blood on it, and an armband with the same. Of course I love US medic stuff, and anything having to do with the 9th US inf. div., especially 47th rgt. Unit history, paperwork, v-mails, and in this one case, even dress uniforms. Not only is it the unit we portray (and have many vet. contacts from), but also the unit my great uncle served in from 42 to 45. I love personal stuff - letters, dogtags, stuff like that. Especially if named or personalized somehow.
