The Clash? Excellent! " London calling.." A whole lot of punk rock but great songs. " If I should go it will be trouble , if I should stay it will be double.." Anyway, points to the Clash fans wherever you are!!

I also like listening to military marches and national Anthems. I have quite a big collection in my PC. But my favourite (after Deutschland über Alles of course) is this one:
It is just beautiful!!! And the version of the Red Army choir is even better than the whole choir of the Bloshoi!!!! This Anthem is VERY patriotic and makes you feel something and it is even more beautiful than La Marseillaise (soory, mum!)

I usually listen to country music. Sometimes I switch to western. I also like the old Southern Rock stuff ZZtop, Lynard Skynard, Alabama, . I also like the oldies 50's, 60's, and 70's. I can have a great time as well listening to Tejano Music with my Mexican friends as we down a few cold ones. I've also had some great times at progressive Texan music concerts in Austin.

Friedrich
I can't sing Baroque but I can do Mozart, I suppose because there are good baritone parts. I still enjoy a good crack at Figaro.
Still I have to go with Puccini, if only because he makes me cry.

Really?!!!! Our dear Jumbo is also a singer, a baritone?! You are right, there are not many roles for baritones in baroque opera... But there are not roles for me in the Mozartian repertory either. I am a contratenor. (Remember 'Farinelli'? Well, I sing most of his roles) But I DO have a... you know...

The new Peter Gabriel album "Up" sounds promising. They are always adventures and one has to listen to them a couple of times before one can say anything at all.
But for now my favourite is " Growing up ".
I have also listened to Tweet´s " Call me ". The melody in the back is sorta weird but enjoyable.I just hate the fact that P.Diddy´s remixing her songs as well-what is he not doing??

And do you think that this opera singer also likes that bad imitation of poetry with bad music?

Actually, rap is a kind of music, not a form of language...
Friedrich, if we can't bad mouth opera, I'm suprised you're so quick to bad mouth Hip hop. Isn't that the pot calling the kettle black, as the old saying goes?

Please don't hurt me gentlemen-but I like Eminem's new CD-'The Eminem Show'-so much so that I bought it the other night-however I cannot stand the man Marshall Mathers-he's a loudmouth sellout.

I can't believe that you bought an eminem Cd! Shame on you! Even though he's been arrested, several times, and sings, if you can call it that, about the sickest things. Shame on you!
