We have been talking much about many non-WWII films, so I was wondering to ask which are the films you really love in this world? Mine are:
"The English Patient"- with Ralph Fiennes, Kristin Scott Thomas, Juliette Binoche and William Dafoe.
Martin:
"Brave Heart"- with Mel Gibson, Sophie Marceau and Patrick McGoohan.
"Total Eclipse"- with Leonardo DiCaprio (he is a very good actor after all...)
"Amadeus"- by Milos Formann with Tom Hulce and F. Murray Abraham.
"Gandhi"- It is a bloody work of art! by sir Richar Attenborough with Ben Kingsley.
WOW!
I am yearning to see yours!

4) Star Wars (the 1st of the original three)
5) Allegheny Uprising. J. Wayne, C. Treevor, G. Saunders (future Mr. Freeze on Batman)
6) The Alamo. John Wayne, R. Widmark, R. Boone.
7) The Lost Patrol. E. Flynn, D. Niven and B. Rathbone.

12) The Wild Bunch. Robert Ryan, William Holden, Ernst Borgnine, Ben Johnson.
13) Zeppelin. I can picture the fine British actor but for the moment cannot think of his name. NOW I REMEMBER--he is Michael York.
14) The Horse Soldiers. J. Wayne, W. Holden.
15) The Bedford Incident. R. Widmark, Sydney Poitier.
16) Every Which Way But Loose. C. Eastwood, Ruth Gordon.
17) Firefox. Clint Eastwood.
18) The Warlord. Charlton Heston, Richard Boone.
19) The Count of Monte Cristo (newest version with Richard Harris.
20) Hell and High Water. Richard Widmark.
I had better stop at 20 or I can go on forever.

Well, in my opinion the best version of "the count of Montecristo" is the French one with Gérard Depardieu. Nothing better than listen to the French novel in French!!!

Anything Star Wars. I hate to put them in an order but you have to put Episode IV at the top.
Favorite Star Trek is First Contact.
Lord of the Rings
The Life of Brian

I don't have any 1 favorite. I do like Star Wars. I like most War movies. I like most sports movies. I like lots of movies. It's just that simple. There's also a lot of movies I don't like. It's just that simple.

Kai, I love sci-fi as well... John Carpenter's The Thing and the ALiens trilogy (NOT the fourth one) are some of the greatest movies ever...
But I have to ask- did you like the Spawn movie??
I was a big fan of Spawn, a friend of mine had all the comics... then I went to the movie...
I swear, that was the closest I have come to walking out of a movie early!!!
But I take it you have a differing opinion?
(Or are you talking about the animated movie?)
Although his movies seem a bit too similar from one to the next, I do like Guy Ritchie. Lock, Stock, etc. was one of the better movies I've seen in a long time.

Well, as you mentioned it Crazy, not all the "Spawn" movie, but I must admit the jokes of the Clown and Spawn are quite good ( my opinion ) and the scene where "Bishops`s" (?) wasted but a lot more could have been done, but just the whole image of "Spawn" interests me so I just have to make what´s there to feel, even the PS one game that´s quite ...nothing...But the image of "general of hell´s army ", it has something...eek..and I am not a worshipper of devil by the way. I have also seen quite many animated series of the "Spawn" and also read whatever on him is available in Finland.
Then again a movie that comes to my mind from this is The Crow.Know it?? Sometimes the atmosphere is worth a lot...Brandon, come back...
