Ryan--thank you for the names which include our British casualties. I want to remember the British Soldiers as well as ours.

Thank you Ryan, these men and women died for what they believed in...and they will be sorely missed by all those who knew them.
May they Rest In Peace.

Hi, 2 quick points (which hopefully fit in with the post) 1, you have a Royal Engineer down as SPR, I take it that is in the sense of Sapper as opposed to Senior Private (I have seen people claim it means the latter when to the best of my knowledge we dont have a senior private rank. The other thing is that apparently we (the British) have had a casualty, an officer in the Royal Engineers in a bomb desposal unit, well I have not been able to get at much more up to date news but no one has released his name however I have a friend in such a unit and would apreciate it if you stuck the name of the officer in question up if and when his name is released. Strange request I know but I am unable to access the latest info. Thanks and all the best.

Stefan-yes It does mean Sapper, I can't understand people that say senior private-that is more or less denying Lance-Corporals their rank...
If I manage to discover the name of teh British Officer killed, I will post it straight away.
Duce-thankyou for the kind remarks also, Carl ditto...

Thanks for posting the names. When you hear it on the news it's just a number but when you see the name and how young they are it really hits home.

What strikes me is the average age of each KIA-somehwere in their 20s, a whole life wasted, taken in the blink of an eye.

Stefan-ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT LANCE-CORPORAL OF HORSE MATTY HULL, KILLED SEVERAL DAYS AGO IN AN AMERICAN ATTACK ON A BRITISH ARMOURED COLUMN?

No mate, thats not him, the chap I know is a Major in the RE. Thanks anyhow. What keeps striking me is that most of these guys are not often more than 5 years older than me and also the number who have a wife and kids back over here.

May they rest in peace.
What I have noticed is that there is a big proportion of officers killed there, some like three majors!
