TA152, I’d say you’ve hit the ‘big question’. Army say dust produced on impact is inconsequential and opponents says it’s not? Amy say radiation produced is within acceptable levels and opponents say it’s not? Both side are piling reports and statistics into the argument.

Ok, so I was wrong, a Frenchman came up with the idea (Edgar Brandt) but the Germans produced the first viable SABOT ammunition so its all the same. Anyhow, with a name like Brandt he was probably really a German . Anyhow, why does Amy's opinion of DU come into it? Isn't this what always happens, the government claims there is no problem, someone else claims there is, govt claims dangerous factors are within acceptable parameters, opponants say they ain't (can anyone explain why there is an apostrophy after the n?) and basically opponants are doomed to failiure because hardly anyone is willing to let someone pump radioactive dust into them to test it. Oh well.

The U.S. Dept. of Veterans Affairs just changed its stance on "Gulf War I Illness." They are finally admitting that PTSD/stressors are not the blame for unexplained illnesses. Well, woopty *uckin do!!! News says that DVA plans to spend an adittional $60 million over the next four years researching this "new" stance. This crap has gone on for twelve years now. We saw the A-10's TCB! We saw Kamasiyah go up! News sources say this is a "Victory" for GW I Vets. Bullshit! My unexplained neurological condition is not getting any better. Will I have to wait another twelve years now or what???

Right, am I the only one thing that if we look at the amount speant over the last few years on GW1 syndrome and the amount that would be needed to pay compensation it looks destinctly like the government could have paid compensation 12 years ago and saved itself a few bob?
