Tomorrow morning I begin my trip to Michigan to see the air show I've been talking about. Everyone be good especially you Carl toward my Sopwith Camel. I expect it washed and waxed with no holes when I get back.
Have a great weekend everyone and I will post the pics when I get them developed.
Greg

Have a nice time, Greg!
Is that the B-17 you flew in?!

I got back in today
Yes Fried that's the B-17 I flew in. They had four of them lined up wing tip to wing tip on the tarmac and they flew all four of them yesterday at the same time. They also had a B-24 lined up on the tarmac as well.
Luckily no Fokker's whew!!
Martin will be so jealous because not only did I get to see the Lancaster fly (right over my head ) but I got to go inside of it for free. They don't charge just request a donation if it can be afforded.
I saw Chuck Yeager and I had Gunther Rall sign his book for me .
Alot of vets there sadly though they did not have the Me-109, Spitfire or Hurricane fly in for some reason.
I took the pictures for developing so I should get them back later this week. There are three cameras with 81 total pictures that include the air show and my flight in the 909.

It was very nice Erich, I don't know if I'll go next year as alot of it will be the same but if you could make it there that would be really good. The symposium wasn't that great for the money spent. It took us two hours to get our food and then lasted only 30 minutes although some of the stories that Chuck Yeager spoke about were pretty funny, and Gunther Rall talking about how they had to crank the 109 to get it started in the Russian winter.
Yes Friedrich I met Mr. Rall. I didn't get a picture with him but I got one of him sitting at the table he was signing autographs at. I got his autograph and had to spell my name out for him. I didn't spend much time talking for two reasons:
One - I didn't know what to ask and am way to shy in public.
Two - before I got my book signed he was getting up to go for lunch so I didn't want to keep him.

OK, I see. But it would be interesting to look at that picture anyway. I really like Mr Rall. One of the most agreeable veterans and aces out there.
