I was just looking around at all the guys here at [insert privatised ex-Gov company name] with nothing to do and sat surfing the web all day and wondered whether any of you are doing the same.
Where are you all and what are you doing? Are you working? Outa work (not obviously looking too hard )? In uni?, school? Library?
I especially would like to hear from Mr Evans, Kai, Martin and Co. who seem to have a unbelieveable amount of posts, have you lost girls over this forums guys?!!

I chose the last option. I bought a lap top and wireless internet, so I am able to post here any time I want, so, when my students are working or reading, I can sit at the desk and post something in here...

Hmmmmmmm this is an interesting post. ok I'll give it a bash........
have my own business which allows me to set hours on occassion to view and post on this and 12 other forum boards both English and German. Besides writing e-mails back and forth to three German nf aces. I work from 2 to 16 hours a day depending on the time of year. Researching for almost 12 books and of course more on my cousin and his weiße 2....

I am a student so I'm mostly at home with nothing better to do. I haven't lost a girl because I mainly keep my WWII interest inside these walls (which is probably why I'm still an amateur on this).

how about a trip to your loacl libray...? Unless it is really a dog, it should have some great materials for you to seek out and read up on. Any questions on the books information can be asked here naturally

I havn't had much time lately but when i do surf this place it is usually at my school or at home.
In regards to my g/f. We have been going strong since before i signed up for this place 3 years ago so she is quite used to it lol.
As a matter of fact it is useful sometimes...if it was getting particularly late and she couldn't sleep i have talked about some of our discussions and it puts her right to sleep LOL

How fast are those wireless things? How does it work? Is it with an internet provider? Is it expensive?

Friedrich, better see if you need some sort of firewall or something on that, don't know about wireless modems but wireless lans are notoriously unsafe/insecure to anyone with £300 and a laptop scanner.

Well if you put it that way Knightmove, its no wonder he's not got one. If he did, she'd be required to commit suicide with him if life got a bit tough then be burnt by your buddies in the back yard.

Ron yes ! wireless is the only way to go. We have two connections and a router we put in. The service is through our local cable TV company so we pay for one service instead of the normal two. In our case we did not have to pay a hook up fee or any installation service for two months. Part of 'that game to buy' if you know what I mean. But in truth I will never go back to that lousy slow server signal with the numerous outages......it is a bit more expensive in the initial stages only but it is worth it.

I am ashamed to say, my local library has nothing short of crap. it'd be a better library to look up Winnie the Pooh's middle name (which I'm assuming is "the") than to research WWII!

Ron. It is a wireless modem, like a cell phone, I think, which keeps you on line. It is provided by an Internet company derived from Telmex - the Mexican phone company - and I can get 300 Kps for some $60 dollars a month. They provided me with the wireless modem for some $200.

No, I won't. My sexual life is not like Hitler's. It is more like Alexander' the Great's, Frederick the Great's, Julius Cæsar's or Oscar Wilde's... If you know whta I mean...
