Haben a Froh Weihnachten und eins Gute neue Jahrs!
Im Amerikaner, Have a Merry Christmas Charlie Brown!
These are the kinda gifts I would like to recieve which are the following: One of each can never be enough
Instead, I will be recieving a nice small grouping belinging to an Imperial German Navy Landwehr Battalion person who won the EK2 and EK1 in WK1. Award Doc for his EK2, a nice WK2 EK2, und a nice rare set of Luftwaffe Tropical Enlistedmans Shoulderboards to a man who was in a Luftwaffe Recon Unit.

Carl if you get all those medals and wear them you will look like one of those Russian Generals you see in the May Day parades. But you have a big chest,so maybe you can pull it off !
Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas one and all.
After my trip to Italy this year, I think of the cold winters my Dad spent there in 1943 and 44, and also my old pal John Dray, who came with us on the trip and was also there.
Best wishes to all WW2 vets everywhere - and special Christmas wishes to our own Sapper Brian.

Ok guys, gather round the tree with something to drink (perhaps something alcoholic, mulled wine, cherry brandy, something softer, hot chocolate maybe), all together:
O Tannenbaum
O Tannenbaum, o Tannenbaum,
wie treu sind deine Blätter!
Du grünst nicht nur zur Sommerszeit,
nein auch im Winter, wenn es schneit.
O Tannenbaum, o Tannenbaum,
wie treu sind deine Blätter!
O Tannenbaum, o Tannenbaum,
du kannst mir sehr gefallen!
Wie oft hat nicht zur Weihnachtszeit
ein Baum von dir mich hoch erfreut!
O Tannenbaum, o Tannenbaum,
du kannst mir sehr gefallen!
O Tannenbaum, o Tannenbaum,
dein Kleid will mich was lehren:
die Hoffnung und Beständigkeit
gibt Trost und Kraft zu aller Zeit.
O Tannenbaum, o Tannenbaum,
dein Kleid will mich was lehren.

Merry Christmas to you to TA, and to all, a goodnight!
TA, your correct, and I will be wearing all my pinback awards. Lets see, some 18 different pinbacks as well as several medal bars. I think I will tip over.

‘Twas Christmas day in the harem
and the eunuchs stood around
while scores of naked women
lay writhing on the ground
The Sheikh walked into his harem
to survey his noble halls
he said; “What do want for Christmas lads?”
and the eunuchs answered; “B***s!”

This is especially for Sapper Brian.
I want to wish you the merriest of Christmas's and happy new years sir. Without gentlemen as yourself, our world would not be a free world and we all would be oppressed by some other.
To you and all the veterans of all wars, I owe you my deepest regards for all that you have given to me and I shall always remember that.
May the good LORD always bless you with good health and great friends. You sir, are a true friend to us all on these forums.
Take care and Merry Christmas. Your humble servant, Carl Evans.

Oh my………too much time spent saving the universe eh Flash?
Yes, of course it’s Diana Dors (whom I met – eat your heart out), and the other is neither Joan Sims nor Sylvia Sims, but the incredibly gorgeous Liz Fraser

no9,
Cheers for that. Good on ya meeting Miss Fluck, but I'm afraid she was several years before my time!
'Course it's Liz Fraser-I need new specs!

I met Diana Dors at a small commercial presentation in Camberley, Surrey, where she was the guest celebrity. She’d lost the figure she had at the start of her career due to illness, but she still looked outstanding and most of all she had amazing ‘star’ presence which was felt the moment she entered the room.
Over the years I’ve met a number of ‘stars’ or so call stars, most of whom seemed quite ordinary (or less) and uninspiring, however much they tried to flaunt themselves. Dors was different. Another, who literally did ‘stop the traffic’, which most probably wouldn’t think of, is Susan Hampshire. Not only did she stop the traffic, in both directions, in the King's Road, Chelsea, everyone stayed silent and no vehicle moved until she when into a building – the camera does not do her justice!
