I am so disappointed because they cancelled the Alliance air show this weekend! The sissy-pants USAF backed out yesterday because of concerns about the weather. We have not had the first drop of rain from the hurricane, not even any strong breezes! They aren't going to reschedule either. At least I didn't get advanced tickets, they don't get a refund, they just get to consider it a donation to the museum at the airport.

To get my airplane fix I am going to go see an IMAX production called Fighter Pilot. It is a show about one of the Red Flag exercises. Has anyone else seen it?

I get my fix from the airshow held at Avalon Airfield every 2 or 3 years .

Its about 5 miles from home so I can sit on the lawn and see a lot of the shhow without having to pay.

Best I've seen so far is the F4 Phantom & Su27 doing the "cobra strike", mad men all of them.

Sorry your weekend was spoilt, bigiceman.

The second day at Duxford's September airshow had to be abandoned due to very poor visibility ( like, 50-150ft ! ). This was the first abandonment/cancellation many of us in the UK can recall which is actually pretty amazing when you think that this country is not exactly noted for settled weather conditions......
