The G-3 has a reputation for durability, but I did not think it could withstand 30+ years of such a treatment, even if well maintained.

If these guns have been as intensely used by their previous owners since they were built and before you got them, without having many parts changed overtime, I'm impressed.

There is nothing like the sound of an ejected 7.62 cartridge hitting a pavement beside you....Ok not as good a statemnt as Napalm in the morning...but give me the good old British SLR, as tough as bricks, and pretty acurate single fire shot.

Somehow this doesn't compute, it's a small round combined with a 16" barrell,
how can it be effective out to 700 M?
I am into reloading and wildcatting and as far as I can see that bullet will have nothing left at 500M.
