I am amazed that no one died

The tornado that hit near where I live did a great deal of damage. Here are 5 links to pictures.

Look at the homes and other buildings, I do not see how no one died and that only one person stayed more than 24 hours in the hospital.

Jeff have you been called to aid those in need ? what a frickin mess, something we do not have I suppose due to all the hills/mtns in my area, we only have monster forest fires and floods........... yuk

No, they have it covered. The State, Cities of Prattville and Montgomery Departments and the (more) local VFD have it well in hand.

Out of all those homes destroyed, only 8 people are in shelters, the rest are being taken care of by family, friends, churches, etc. Believe it or not, some churches were already setting up kitchens and other support (S&R, tiage and first aid) groups before sundown Sunday afternoon. It is all being coordinated through the State via the Red Cross.

As much as can be seen, there has not been any looting. I guess the thugs from Montgomery haven't thought about riding up and taking their chances with trigger-happy State Troopers, Deputies and Police.
