I was in Wisconsin a couple of summer ago, watching the horse pulls at the county fair, anyway one Amish farmer there said he had Shire horses? Maybe the same thing? It would be a shame to the breed extinct, they are good looking horses!!

It is. My in-laws (outlaws?  ) breed Welsh Cobs, but they have a Shire stallion and a gelding. They've been looking for a Shire mare for years.

Shires are gorgeous, got a friend who still works them, would be a shame to see them go.

Thats sad, my grandmother used to live on a farm that used them to pull a plough.
She absolutely adored them.
