Walt Disney World
I was recently on a trip to disney a month ago. I really enjoyed it. My question to these viewers are Have you ever been to Disney and If you have what was your favorite park and ride.
My favorite
Park: Hollywood Studios
Ride:Aerosmiths Rockin Rollercoaster
I like Hollywood Studios the best because it had the best rides out of all the parks.
I like Rockin Rollercoaster cause i love hard rock/metal like bands like Aerosmith

Re: Walt Disney World
The Rock 'n' Roller Coaster is a fantastic ride-the initial acceleration is incredible, but I don't think it can beat The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror for an unexpected adrenaline rush.
Another great (non Disney) ride is the Hulk rollercoaster at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. My family and I will be in Orlando for a two week holiday this July and I for one can't wait!...I guess the kid inside us all never leaves...

Re: Walt Disney World
Never been to any of the Disney Parks but, I have been to Astroworld (located in Houston, TX)-which recently closed it's doors permanently and everything auctioned off. :-(
Been only once to Six Flags-located I THINK in Dallas, TX.
Been to Sea World in San Antonio, TX-but that was before they had rides and also before Fiesta Texas opened-to which I still haven't been to----yet.
One of the best places I went to was Knotts Berry Farm, somewhere in California-and I THINK near Los Angeles????? Anyway, loved the place.
They we also went to Universial Studios, did the rides and the tour. I remember thay had a very cool tour in which we went through the Red Sea that the late great: Charlton Heston, parted in: The Ten Commandments. We also almost got eaten by the Shark from Jaws on the way to pass the Bates Hotel. After passing the Bates Hotel, we were fired on by Cylons who were supposed to be attacking the Battlestar Galactica, but must have got lost and decided to attact us unarmed Earthings. ;-D
All in all, I still liked Astroworld the most, and was the one we went to numerous times.

Re: Walt Disney World
I've been to all of the Disney Parks (Florida, California, France and Japan) and I think that Disney World in Orlando is the best.

Re: Walt Disney World
I've lived in Orlando (about 5 miles from Disney) for about a decade and I am pleased to say that we have not been to a Disney theme park in all that time. I just can't handle the crowd or the lines. Islands of Adventure and Seaworld are fun and usually do not have quite the crowd (especially at the start of the day).

I heard that they charge over $125.00 just to get in that park? I wonder if that is meant to keep out all the Riff-Raff? Just kidding; Just kidding ;-))

Owch, that hurt! ;-D You better strengthen your defense at Vicksburg, so that the Yankees don't take it again.
I've never been to FloriDUH--yet. I heard it was much more humid there than here-and were always in about the 80% humidity mark with an average Dew-point of over 75%. As they say, we have Weather that you can wear. Today is no exception cept for slightly stronger southern winds.
PS, Curly rocks!! ;-))

Disney is insanely expensive. Even Florida residents pay far more than a sane person should spend to "enjoy" a day at the Magic Kingdom. By Comparison, for the cost of about one one day pass to Disney, I can buy three annual passes to Seaworld (as a Florida resident) or I can but a single two park annual pass to Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure. There is no reason to go to Disney! (Of course, they also donate a lot of money to a lot of charities here, so I encourage everyone else to come visit Orlando and spend a lot of money at Disney and everywhere else! We need your sales tax dollars!)

1) The Yankees have already taken Florida. I am one myself! (And as long as the Red Sox beat Tampa tonight, the natural order will be closer to returning to normal!)
2) It is always humid and usually raining, except when we have droughts!
3) Curly does Rock!

I went to Epcot center a long long time ago! It was fun, except for the part where I paid like 20 bucks for a beer and a brat in "Germany".

Heh heh heh. I bet since the Yankees already took FloriDUH, that that's why their prices are so high. ;-))
Here the humidity is always at about or above-80% with the dew point about 78% add it with our (ab)normally hot temps - which are about 8 months of the year at about 95 to over 100 degrees. Add these together and what do you get? M~I~S~E~R~Y. Our only savings grace is the high winds that blow much of the time as well as when it rains - which aint often enough but, i'm greatful for what we get.
Another Stooges fan ;-D Here is a 'heads-up" for you in case you have not seen it yet? Wal-Mart has a Columbia/Sony released DvD for about $20 bucks which has I think, 17 or so Three Stooges two-reelers. I saw the one they had on display and it was for the years 1937 to 1939-and all are Curly episodes. I'm going to get a copy of it next time im at Wally-World (aka) Wal-Mart.

Hi Scott, Jeff,
Scott, $20 bucks for a sip and a dog? I sure hope the waitress came as desert? ;-D
Jeff, Heh heh, I sure wish they'd keep the humidity they send our way. It's now been confirmed and no longer a rumor, that all the clouds we get are manufactured in FloriDUH and sent our way. I used to think thay all clouds were made in Rickenbach, Switzerland! ;-D
Scott, heh heh-good one ;-D It's almost like that here too. Yesterday I was merely sitting on the stairs watching my four Cats who were in various stages of feasting, playing and then resting. Well, it felt like someone dumped a large pail of water on me. I don't mind sweating-but only if its for a good reason.
