Comic actor Harvey Korman dies at 81
A great comedian has passed on . I loved him in Blazing saddles and the other numerous movies and TV shows he was in. My favorite was a WWII paratrooper skit. Harvey was asking Tim where the secret mission map was. Tim says its tattooed on his chest. He lifts up his shirt to show it and when Harvey follows a line on the map and Tim lifts his shirt over his upper chest Harvey notices that there is an eye over one nipple and a pair of lips over the other. Harvey starts cracking up and almost couldn't complete the sketch LOL.

Yeah, I liked Harvey Korman, especially on The Carol Burnett Show. He's the first of that entourage to die.

When he and Tim got together the adlibs were flying on that show.

That's so sad. I loved him on the Carol Burnett Show. He and Tim Conway were great together, and I especially loved it when Tim Conway would crack him up. I missed the chance last year when Harvey Korman and Tim Conway performed here. The reviews and those we knew who did attend said it was hilarious and if we ever had a chance to not miss it. They still as funny despite time and age.

I remember watching him many times on the Carol Burnett Show. I remember that Paratrooper skit! Korman and Conway sure were a great team and I will sorely miss him.
Tim And Harveys adlibs were so good. I remember that it seemed that most of the time, Tim Conway did crack him up-which I thought was great.
Rest in Peace Harvey.

YouTube - Dentist Sketch - The Carol Burnett Show
That sketch is a riot. I don't know how Harvey kept a straight face, in front of a live audience, too.

Re: Comic actor Harvey Korman dies at 81
Harvey Korman was brilliant. I he was also really fortunate to have played the straight man to both Danny Kaye and Carol Burnett, two of the more unselfish television comedians of the 60's and 70's. I was young during the heyday of the Carol Burnett show but I remember how quickly it went downhill after Harvey left and Dick Van Dyke joined the cast. Of course, times were changing and talk shows were taking the place of variety shows, so perhaps he left at the right time.

Awwww....I really liked him, and Tom Conway..... this is making me feel old. The Carol Burnett Show and the Bob Newhart show were two classics I will always remember, back when TV was fun to watch. His passing is a great loss to comedy.
