Hello, I just realised a minute ago that this fork (which i always use) has some nazi symbols on it.
I know there are more like this out there, but i would like to know what the "M" stands for, so far i haven't found anything about it.

I live in the Netherlands and this fork used to belong to my grandmother which bought and resold all kinds of junk.
Probably not realizing what she was buying :)

The "M" means it was Kriegsmarine issued.

The "M" is oversized, and the only maker I am aware of that did this was WELLO. The name and/or maker's mark (an elephant) should be on the backside.

I've got several pieces of Km silverware and none of them have that makers mark on them.

Hardly surprising, as there were several makers of silverware for the Kriegsmarine. I have even seen Km silverware without any makers mark.
