wouldnt be easy because there are words that arent in a directonary, but i will do my best. I have finally read a book wirtten by Kapitän Hardegen about his operations by new york, when you see the form of writing you will know soon that this is a book full of propaganda.

Now im away for translaiting the Video :)

    Translation:

In one of our port of operation´s of our submarines.
The first america-drivers are comming back from their effective adversarialshipping. The submarine of lieutnant commander Zapp scupped 80900 gross register tons of adversarial shipspace.

Lieutnant commandant Hardegen´s Submarine operated close to New York.

Lieutnant Commandant Hardegen scupped 110400 gross register tons, therefrom 58500 gross register tons close to New York. Vice-admiral Dönitz congratulate the Submarine-Commandant and hand him out a “Ritterkreuz”.

Other Submarines on the way to the american coast.

    Changing of the guard.

The new guard is putting on the waterproof suit.

    Poseidons first salute.
The guard need to moor. The Submarine is rolling up and down, from the left to the right.

After four hours of beeing guard they need rest.

The hammock need to be lashed.

After for days drive, the american coast is reached. The Submarine is close to New York. There are only 15 meters under the bottom of the ship.

    A Cargo-ship!

Because all torpedos are shoted sucessfully, the Cargo-ship will crush down by artillery.

The USA lost 4000 tons of shipspace.

    Attention, adversarial guardian!!!

    The Electromachines are turning on.

The Commandant, the “Ritterkreuz”-bearer Lieutnant Commandant Topf step inside as the last.

The enemy is attacking with water balloons.

The light turns out. Via a close impact some lights were destroyed. A valve is leakly! Water is comming into the Central!

The water is pumping into disused oil-tanks. During the work breathingapparatus are used.

    The damage is repaired!

A brew will smooth the ruffled feathers.

The coast is clear- the submarine can emerges.

Those pictures were taken with underwater-cameras. The door is opening from inside.
Across the northatlantic the homeward journey reports. The submarine is ice up fastly.

here on the tower is coldness.

From the 21 january till the 21. february our submarines scupped 80 ships with (together) 532000 gross register tons. That means, they scupped in one mounth as many as the whole american dockyard can build in 9 months.

I hope that you can understand that...

Excellent job Killa, & it is all perfectly understandable. If that one was by request why not do one of your own choice? On the Atlantic wall maybe ?

Whatever you do , keep up the good work !

Yes, I watched it yesterday immediately before I found your translation, and I have just watched it again alongside the translation. It flows seamlessly and is easily understood. In places it does not read like perfect English, but it is all easy for English speakers to understand.
    For example:

would be better translated as "Alert ! Enemy Destroyer !"

and "water balloons" are probably "depth charges".

I very much liked the transaltion "A brew will smooth the ruffled feathers" [IMG]

You should show that to your teacher, it is worth an "A+" (10/10)

    Well done Killa !
Also, it is helping me to refresh what little German I know. I studied it from age 13 to 16 with two different teachers. Both teachers were very bad, and I found it difficult.

yes, german is a very difficult language.
Thank you that you have shown me my mistakes, in germany we say "aus fehlern lernt man" (Mistakes teach you how to do it next time or something like that :p ) Dont want to lie: "A brew will smooth the ruffled feathers" is out of a dictionary, it is always helpfull. The context between the words shown by the dictionary and the reality isnt easy to interpret context between Word and the context into the text). i dont think that i should show that to my teacher, because he is my history teacher too and he is to old for things like that...

TBH I have never heard anybody in English use the phrase " a brew will smooth the ruffled feathers", but it works very well, I think your teacher would appreciate it. It is very eloquent.

From the video I could hear " Eine tasse kaffee..."
What is the rest of the sentence in German ?
