Hi, Can anyone recommend a source for the German (and US) forces org chart during (and around the time of) the Ardennes battle? I've searched online but not finding anything that shows the hierarchy from top to bottom. Thanks, JW
Lord love the U.S. Army. They cut and paste charts from our book without attribution and then describe our "operational assessments" as "questionable"...
Recall there was talk of it returning, but nothing flowered. Point him at Otto, maybe? Sure he'd host that. Such useful core stuff.
Yes, point him at me please. I'm currently working toward another leap forward; more posts to import, organizing the forums structure, upgrading WW2.Org, etc. It is a perfect time to onboard any content or websites. If I can help Gary with his site, I'd be very happy to.
Many thanks Takao for the above. And thanks others for responses as well - much appreciated - got me what I needed!
The German Order of Battle is quite a mess by late 1944/1945, because they were forming all kinds of ad hoc units around this time. No wonder on paper the German Army looked to be much larger than it was.
