Need help identifying this bayonet please!!!!

On the blade it's branded MA
On the hitch it's marking is A8887
On the top of the.hamdle facing me it's got a marking "SP"
I've been trying to find it online and I'm so frustrated.

Could you post a photo of the full bayonet?

 

It's difficult to give a positive identification from your photos but could it be a Yugoslavian M1924 Mauser bayonet?

 

Or possibly a Chilean M1895 bayonet?

 

The general shape would imply to me that its off of an 1893 or 1895 Mauser. There are a multitude of nations which used the 1893/1895 pattern Mausers. The serial number stamping says "Yugoslavian" to me, and the general quality/condition and evidence of "brute force" refurbishment implies "Yugoslavian" or "Turkish".

A photo of the full bayonet would be helpful

John: could be an 1895 Chilean, but it is not an 1924 Yugoslavian -- the height of the muzzle ring is substantially lower on a 1924 pattern than it is on this example.

Alan, I agree, the lack of a square oil/drain hole also confirms that it isn't Yugo.

The new photo gives a much better view of the bayonet and it now almost certainly looks to be an Italian M1891 bayonet.
