Howdy everyone, If this has already been posted, please delete it. Mussolini here years ago told me about the metal band Sabaton, who make war related songs, heavy on WWII in some albums.. I have one of their albums that have two great songs on D Day “Primo Victoria” and the Battle of the Atlantic/ “Wolfpack”. They came out with a single on the Bismarck. I just came across it on youtube and really like it. And if you are not into metal, it has some pretty good recreations for the video!
I've enjoyed a number of Sabaton's songs. Hadn't seen/heard this one yet. You can buy most (all?) of their music on Amazon by the way.
Their newest album is focused on WWI this time around, with songs about the Verdun and the like. Comes out in July, called 'The Great War'. Good stuff if you ask me! Quite a Niche band....sorta like Alestorm (Heavy Metal Pirates with some catchy tunes....we are here, to drink your beer, and steal your rum at the point of a gun, your alcohol to us will fall, because we are here to drink your beer!)
I thought that too! I think they had Prince of Whales, but no Mighty Hood. I did like the detail of showing the turrets fall out as the ship rolled over.
