My daughter who didnt come with us told me NOT to buy an "I love Intercourse t-shirt" & my son was unamused why I thought it funny to buy a fridge magnet saying the same.

I was raised there in the 1950’s. Lived a few miles away and went to high school a few miles up the road. Worked for the Amish in the summer picking tobacco. I never heard of this museum but should try to look it up when I drive over. I now live about an hour and a half away. Bird-in-Hand, Intercourse, lots of good food, lots of “stuff” to buy and a great farmers market. Buggy rides, if you choose. Actually the country and the farmland is beautiful. But back in the 1950’s it was buggys hitched up to posts in town. Very few shops or restaurants. Then someone came up with the idea to make money. Now it is jammed with tourists nine months out of the year, mini mall etc. Tour buses and all. The Amish have learned to tolerate it I suppose. Some have benefited by it in the way of furniture making and other homemade products. I try to drive over once a year.

The lady in the Post Office there was a really happy soul & a right character.
Didnt stay there long. A quick stop after visiting the Pennsylvania Railroad Museum & going on the Strasburg Railroad.

Funny how the tourists all go to Intercourse, but none will venture up the road to Blue Ball.

Owen, if you like trains, you will enjoy the museum and Strasburg. The Choo Choo Barn is also right there with a huge toy train layout. The Toy Train museum is also not too far away.

Enjoy your stay in our Keystone State.

The train ride through the countryside and the museum is a wonderful way to spend the day, great fun! Blue Ball, I lived about six miles up the road. Unless it has changed, not too much to see there, but a nice little village on route 23.

We did a double take at this drive-in bank.
A horse & buggy pulled up at it.
