Them!...now there's a classic..years back we took a vacation down to Arizona to visit family..then drove into New Mexico with a stop at White Sands..as we walked around the wife came across this guy...never went back.
On the 78th anniversary of the Doolittle Raid heading downstairs to watch "Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo"..the last survivor Richard Cole, who was Doolittle's co-pilot, passed away April 9, 2019 at the age of 103..a big salute to them all.
Yup as the Army staff sergeant with a few lines... "Texans...when bigger stories are told, Texans will tell them. Should fit in with the kind of stuff they're looking for upstairs. Know what's going on in this building? No..real ''T.S ." stuff...Top Secret." He had more lines in his follow up biggie.."The Brain Eaters" in '58.
I've been watching Startrek; Discovery and Picard. Discovery is ok. Picard isn't bad. Fantastic what they can do with CGI these days! Also been watching some Utube tank videos. As an aside, I've seen Nemoy in Twilight Zone, IIRC. Long time ago that.
I think one of the best movies for its time. I thought I read somewhere that they had built a full prop of the Hornet deck to handle the b-25 scenes when they are taking off for the raid. I know there are many “corny” parts but it is an enjoyable movie to watch
Watched Dr Strangelove last week. I hadn't realized it was a Docudrama. The last time I had seen it was, well ........ do you remember Drive-Ins? Followed that up with "They Were Expendable" and "Jeremiah Jones". Next up; Smokey and the Bandit and Mission Impossible - Fallout
Watched the second half of Ben-Hur today...as we got interrupted last time..that's ok as it had the famous chariot race.
Watched the Prince Special last night and gotta' say I was disappointed. It Was colorful but I would have preferred they just put up videos of him playing and singing his own songs.
I was never a big fan of Prince, but he was a phenomenal performer. I caught a few secs of it while flipping channels and just kept going.
Watched "Star Trek Discovery" and "Picard". Currently watching "Black Sails" and "Bosch". Some on CBS All Access, some on Prime some On Demand.
Watched End Game on the weekend...gave it a 7/10 Been watching Tom Baker Dr Who episodes for the last month...last night said goodbye to Leela and K-9
