Hi guys. I own Axis & Allies revised edition. I have played only a couple of times with friends. But now with the pandemic, I would like to know if there is a way to play this game solo?
Have everyone go download Triple A...it's a free open source A&A clone. TripleA: An Open Source Turn Based Grand Strategy Game There are options for PBEM(Play By EMail), network, online, or solo. Have fun!
You can play almost any game solo so long as you play both/each sides to win. Used to own/play loads of Avalon Hill/SPI board/paper games in solitaire mode because finding opponents was tough, but don't have the space anymore. Found solitaire games a great way to test alternate strategies and ways to understand why battles/wars played out as they did.
Well, I don't have a computer anymore. I use my old iPad for everything. I tried but it's not working for iPad. I was more interested in playing the board game solo. That's what I thought but it's not easy to put yourself into another imaginary player's mind . Me too, I can't find players to play those games.
I agree with belasar as long as you can be unbiased you could play the game. I remember playing with three to four usually allies won, but a few times we got the axis to win. Usually I took Germany and built enough units to hold off Britain and America then went after Russia full force Japan would attack from the other side Russia usually would crumble. One time axis was crushing Russia and the rules have something about lending industrial dollars Britain and America gave Russia a bunch of their money and saved Russia, I was what, and I think it was part of the alternative rules.
