But is Russia severely in no control power to do anything to Germany?

Ever game I have played I have seen Russia become gabbled up like nothing.

I was confused as me, (Romania) and my alliance partners of Finland + Hungary manage to kick Russia in the nuts before Germany declares war on our alliance.. which confusing me.. but anywho! Russia seems to mowed down on the field.. in the air.. and on the water. D:

I had the exact same when I played the Soviet Union.
I thought that if I just made enough units to control the borders, protect the main cities (Moscow, Leningrad, Stalingrad) and researched new stuff I would be able to protect the country.

Well, I was wrong. I started in 1936 and was immediately attacked by Finland in the northern regions, but managed to push them back.

Then the German/Romanian forces invaded from the west in 1938 and they took about ten regions untill I made them grind to a hold three regions west of Stalingrad. After I stopped them there were a few years of relative peace.

But in 1940 problems really started. The US and GB attacked me from the east and south, supported by German aircraft and Turkish/Nationalist Chinese infantry. And that was just too much. They took almost every region except the cities and a bunch of regions in the far east. But I couldn't protect those because of constant airstrikes, bombings and attacks.

So I surrendered.

Keep in mind that of these 7 countries none ever sended a war declaration.

So, I have an explanation why Russia gets beaten up so bad every time.

Try the TRP mod... Russia is a power house and as Germany it's really tough to beat them! I'm currently doing barbarrossa in my game and I have more worries in making pockets than advancing forward. I have commited against Russia roughly 90 inf divisions, 40 Mountain inf divisions (for my winter offensives), 7 cavalry divisions, around 23 armored divisions, 10 motorized infantry divisions and 9 mechanized divisions. My allies contribute a further 50 divisions more or less 2 of them being motorised and 6 of them being 18 model cavalry.

I totally destroyed so far 130 russian divisions. It's late August and I'm entering Riga in the North, Kiev in the South and the center is on the same level. Te Russians still have left roughly 470 divisions! t's hectic but fun You have to take out an average of 80 div a year in this mod to dent the russians... Amazing.

I think the thing with Russia is that the events that trigger its increase in production and power etc don't happen until the historic Operation Barbarossa date (otherwise it would be virtually impossible to destroy Russia if they are capable of going at full steam from 1936. All those "Gearing Up For War" events. Not to mention the Office Purges etc that effect the Army and keep its organization low until later on.

In my experiance, joining Axis, Germany has initial success pushing back the Russians. When I played as Romania, mother russia pwnd us after a year of falling back.

I wonder if, in the few cases the Allies don't DOW Germany over the Invasion of Poland, its possible for the German Player to focus on Russia, attacking early when Russia is weak, with a true Bltizkrieg attitude, with the objective of capitulating Russia before it can turn the tide?

ummm...that's a good question! I'm just trying to remember if that has happened to me? I would think that they allies would DOW you at some point after you DOW russia. In fact maybe the very act of DOWing russia would trigger it?

Possible. The last time I played, things got pretty crazy. Portugal, Nationalist Spain, Greece all joined the Axis. The Russians were at war with the Axis, then the Allies DOW Russia. Madness, I tell you, and the Americans entered the war really early too somehow!

Yeah. Mind you this was all 1939 too. Not sure how the **** hit the fan, and I didn't check until I noticed US BOMBERS had attacked Morrocco or something. Wierd.

Anyways, slowly starting up a new Italian Campaign (per my Poll) and still would love to try and get a WW2F Campaign going against/with you guys. Just going (in my game) through the reorganizing part.
