Re: Heart of Iron II doom
That danged Naval Combat Crash Bug ended my latest game, (but this time, I got a chance too save the game first!). I have finally got an opening that I think is worth posting about. How do I transfer the screen shots from my HoI computer to this one, and how do I then post them too the forum?

Re: Heart of Iron II doom
Been playing Germany in 1944 on Very hard, unfourtanelty the Russians just took Warsaw and the Americans are on the Belgian border with the British in Holland. (its kinda ended pretty historical, im all alone besides Bulgaria and my croatian puppets and Hungary barely holding on. Russia seems to be a never stopping hoard, but they now seem outstretched and we are at a stalement on the German border. The Americans have stopped advancing and it seems we shall be at a "phony war" during the winter. No plans for a "Battle of the bulge"

Re: Heart of Iron II doom
Wow...that's neat. Everytime I play Germany...the allies just sit there..and do nothing. Other than a few 1 division landings..here and there that..I destroy everytime.
So it looks like you have a great game going on
Good Luck!!

I have most of the graphical mods. I think I have the small spritepack.
See this thread:

Re: Heart of Iron II doom
Edit: NVM lulz
Oh and remember that Gutterdamrug hopelessness?
After my October Blitzkrieg
I encircled 50 American divisions and Essen and wiped them out but the Americans keep bringing more and more, they are even removing garrisons from Asia to stop my German cause.
Russia? its a stale mate since they tried to take Hungary then I bottled them up and killed 100 divisions

Re: Heart of Iron II doom
That's...a large navy...! I would have only built about 5 Battleships and concentrated on the carriers.
I'm going for Britain too (I am Germany and it's 1947), just conquered Ireland to use a springboard...France and Poland are my allies, I control all of Europe and the Med, I have good relations with Russia, and theres not much the USA can do, all the planes they send just get decimated by my new jet fighters, I have bases in S.America from which I can send nuclear bombers to the USA if I have too.
But I only have a small army. About 8 Panzer Divisions (!) and about 15 mechanized. I have a few normal Inf. too. But even after conquering the Middle East I still have oil Problems.

i have a lot of Africa, the British stole it from france so i stole it back.
I think I'm actually going to let America be free.
I have lost my stomach for war after the conquest of Britain, I lost Bismark and Tirpitz (Though I sunk lots of their ships, it was a Pyhrric victory for the Royal Navy).
The proof;

Graf Zepplin's kills on that day,
HMS Ramillies (BB)
HMS Repulse (BC)
HMS Northumberland (CA)
Peter Strasser's kills,
HMS Resolution (BB)
HMS Hood (BC)
HMS Indomitable (CV)
HMS Norfolk (CA)
Seydlitz's kills,
HMS Nelson (BB)
HMS Middlesex (CA)
I had to retreat to avoid any of my three carriers from being sunk, so It was a defeat for me.
PS-I have another carrier to be completed at the end of 1948, forget the name but it is a Modern Carrier (Type IX).

Re: Heart of Iron II doom
How do you get your screen shots so large? I took the liberty of doing a 'save as', re-naming, and then uploading to Image shack and this is what I get:
Any idea what I am doing wrong?
Wait, I think I have it...
Lol, nope.

Re: Heart of Iron II doom
If you upload straight from FRAPS into image shack, and just copy & paste the image code into the reply box, then it will come out like mine.

Re: Heart of Iron II doom
Does it cost anything for FRAPS to enable this? I just have the downloaded version and have not registered it yet.

No it's free, you only pay for making your videos longer than 30 seconds.
You will pay!......for making your FRAPS videos 30.000000000000000000001 seconds long!
