Duhhhhhh, I'm hopeless with the EST malarky. Couldn't the world only have one time zone?

Sorry about this mate, I really have no idea of time zones. I'm in Britain, BTW.

Re: Canadian MP AAR
Sweet! Playing Arma right now (Abyss scenario) as the USNA (United States of NORTH America). Just about to gobble up the confederates. It also appears possible for me to liberate the COUNTRY of TEXAS. I'll do that once I get nukes...

Re: Canadian MP AAR
Bah. Studying is for whimps who want a good education and not to rule a world in a computer game.
Can't wait for this game. Only kidding!
I reckon we devise a plan first though, cant spring forth into battle unprepared.
Anyway, my plan is this. Mussolini, I think you would do a lot of good as the USNA, focusing on building a large land army. Me, as the Confederates, will concentrate on building a navy, for several reasons.
1. It's fun
2. I have Panama, so I have access to 2 Oceans from the start
3. Sombody needs to protect the convoys!
Shadow master, you could be the Liberatos and build large armies like Mussolini.
We all build air forces.
That way, we can use our IC for 2 different purporses. Me, Ships and Planes, Muss., troops and planes, and Shodow, troops and planes too.
When we are ready, I suggest we make a Landing in Southern Spain, concentrating on nocking out Bourbon. Once this is done, we send a force to Britian, whilst in the meantime our forces in Europe push into the European Soviet's territory in Europe. After the E.S are knocked out, we steamroll east. We don't stop until we reach the Adriatic, once we do, we Send a force to nock out Roma. We then push East again, knocking out all the factions there.
In the meantime, we should have built more troops and tanks in our homelands. We make another amphibious landing in South africa. Whilst these troops crawl up the African continant, we Swing through the middle east with our European armies, while possably have a smallish force landing in Morrocco. The only obsticle should be the low infrastructure.
After we have taken over all of Europe and africa, we leave half our force to Garrison Europe and Africa, sending the rest home. After a while resting and upgrading, we make amphibius landings in Australiasia, push up through Indichina, then Advancing through Burma and other nearby regions. Part of our force will swing west, to take out India. Next we push into China from the South East and the South West. We keep pushing as far north as possible, leaving a few troops behind to prepare for the landings in Japan. After reaching the top of the map, we send our entire force to attack Japan. Resistance should be easily overcome.
next...
Pax Americana!

Re: Canadian MP AAR
Interesting plan. I really want to get this MP game going!
Research wise, we should all do Industrial-types on our own.
The South Americans (libertades or whatever) should also focus on Airforce Techs and Doctrines.
As USNA, I will focus on Infantry + Armor (including Arty)and Doctrines
As Confeds, you should focus on Naval Techs and Doctrines.
We can share the techs as we make them.
We also need to keep an eye on the world situation. For instance, I will need to go to war against the UK first, taking Greenland and Bermuda from them, which will allow us to progress to Europe. Chances are, several countries will DOW us.
We should also determine who gets to annex what and avoid any complications dealing with that.
I am free after 6PM EST on Tuesday and Fridays, and any time on the weekends. When would you all be able to play?

Re: Canadian MP AAR
I would like to get a little MP experience in before we try to conquer the world, lol. Also, do we have to play the Abyss? I have tried that several times solo and it was not much fun (as Germany) but I haven't really made much of an effort there.
If we do play the abyss, do we annex or puppet? I've never played MP so will have a lot to learn, lol. You guys got any pointers? How do we actually set up and play a MP game?
I have to go and tutor now, my classmate just got off work, lol.
My free time is going to go down from now till finals (for my 1st semester) as I need to study. I also was just approached to see if I would be willing to tutor other students (who would have seen that coming? I mean ME, a tutor? They must be desperate!) too help them prepare for the math final.
Just found out that 1/3 of the class is failing!

Re: Canadian MP AAR
I'm out of town this weekend, but I am not opposed to playing at those times i suggested. The following weekend i might be moving but should be fine.
Check out the Paradox forums about Multiplayer. If you are using a router, you need to open up some ports (its easy, just follow instructions in the forum). I also suggest downloading Hamachi. Its free and avoids the pains of using the Valkyrienet (the MP of HOI). Hamachi basically directly connects our computers together, and you join by IP using the IP displayed next to my name in Hamachi.
Hamachi is also known as Hamashit fyi.
In my experience in Abyss, the Germans (Prussians) get pwn'd by their Communist neighbors.
So are you all available at those times listed?

Tuesdays and Fridays are good for me also, but I cannot pull an allnighter. How long will a playing session last? And if one player has to leave, what happens to the game?
