I read on an old book that three French Waffen-SS volunteers were the last to receive Knight´s Cross during the Berlin battles. So I checked the net.

VAULOT, Eugène ("Gégène") (RK)
(1923 - 1945)
Ritterkreuz des Eisernes Kreuzes: 29. Apr. 1945

FENET, Henri-Joseph (RK)
(1919 - 2002)
Ritterkreuz des Eisernes Kreuzes: 29 Apr. 1945

APOLLOT, François (RK)
(- 1945)
Ritterkreuz des Eisernes Kreuzes: 29. Apr. 1945

Anyone know if they were truly the last ones?
Any Germans later on?

I know that U-boat commander Hans Lehmann (1915-1981) was the last u-boat officer to receive the KC on 8 May 1945.

I know that there are many others that received theirs at later dates than 29 April 1945, but they fall out of my area of expertise.
