Cool

i am researching lithuanian volunteers in the wehrmacht. i have found that an NSKK was possibly organized in lithuania near the end of german occupation. i am looking for the letter designation for license plates for vehicles from lithuania durring ww2. any help pertaining to this subject will be very useful to me. i am also seeking lithuanian m1934 uniform components.

thanks panzergrenadier! i guess i should tell people a bit more about myself. i am a ww2 & civil war reenactor in the midwest. i anjoy learning about all kinds of history. i volunteer at a local military museum restoring vehicles in southern indiana. just today i painted a whites halftrack fresh with new rear armor. i currently belong to a ww2 german heer unit portraying a panergrenadier in 25th panzer grenadier div. i hope to assimilate a lithuanian vol impression to teach about my ethnic cousins durring the years preceeding post war soviet occupation. after i finiah restoring my 1938 steyr daimler puch 125T, i will portray a dispatch rider, and hopefully eventually an occasional feldgendarm. i hope to restore the puch in requisitioned wehrmacht service with all proper accessories. any input with anything i mentioned above would be very appreciated.

Glad to hear there was some help of those links, Unitypunk!

You bet I collect books...!! I buy 1-2 usually per week, sometimes even 4-5...These days I visit sedond hand stores frequently as you can often buy very cheaply good books no-one ever opened...Christmas presents, birthday presents. Actually I find quite interesting that some of those books are truly untouched!

i too enjoy acquiring new books. it is sad that people sometimes dont appreciate the gift of a book. sometimes great books are where you least expect them. a great portion of my library has been given to me by people who know that military history interests me, and interests them very little. so when time comes to clean out the dead relatives house, "lets give these books to dennis (me)"
a friend of mine allowed me to borrow his new osprey book about baltic vols. in the wehrmacht. it is very interesting. no pictures of vehicle plates though, maybe in the next book i miraculously find! i ordered some repair & maintenance books on my motorcycle, so thats the last printed item that i have rescently purchased. the repair manual is in german but the maintenance manual is in english. thank goodness! 1 out of 2 aint bad! right now, she is off getting painted ordinance tan taken from a paint sample from the inside of a Stug IIIG. it was taken from an area that was least exposed to the sun. i should be getting her back at a reenactment at buckley homestead in Lowell Indiana on may 2nd. it should be an awesome event. the pyro show is done by our unit president, who takes great pride in his display of explosive power! when he makes pyros for an event, you would think that the field really is being mortared!
is that a picture of you petri? that is a nice uniform. very impressive if i must say.
