I have been wondering if it would be worthwhile if we all put up the areas of interest that we have in world war two so we have some idea at who to ask about relevant questions and also so we can see what the major areas of interest are.
To get the ball rolling, my areas of interest in the war are;
Airborne Forces
Tanks
Waffen SS
Wittmann
Normandy D-Day
My collection of books is generally based on the above topics but spread wider than the above topics. I have a large amount of info on the Luftwaffe in relation to airborne troops. I also have a large amount of uniform references, particuarly for the Germans.

and will be the future author of a multi volume work on the Mosquito Night fighter......eh Martin ?
subs ? nah that is Herr Kaluens prime subject and Wolfpack.
for me it has to be late war missions of the Luftwaffe, day and night fighters/ pilots and a/c.
Also I luv the history surrounding the S-booten arm, craft and crews.....and this is another area that is seriously lacking, especially late war.

Well, Here is someone interested in Military History since 500 B.C. until 2003.
But speaking ONLy about WWII I'd have to say:
-The Führer
-German generals
-Battle of France
-Battle of Britain
-Battle of the Atlantic
-North Africa
-The Balcans
-Italian Front
-Eastern Front 1941-1945, specially Stalingrad.
-Western Front
And now:
-Pacific Theatre
I am still more less ignorant on:
-Aircraft
-Militaria
-Air War
-Waffen SS
-Weaponry
-US ARmy
-British Army (I regret this very much...)
-Aeroplanes
-WWII Films (too young to have watched the good films...)
-Commandos
-Flying combat machines
-Holocaust
But I like to get into discussions of ANY topic, even if I don't know much...

Only just picked up on this.
My main areas of interest/knowledge are:
British Army in WW2; having access to a large number of regimental and divisional histories.
Campaign in NW Europe 1944-45.
Campaign in Italy 1943-45.
I also have a pretty good knowledge of WW2 Battlefields worldwide and am happy to help or advise on visiting them.

My interest is British history of the 20th century.
I'm afraid I'm a bit of a Jack of all trades, and master of none.
