Question

I am looking for knowledge of the battle and actions that this unit participated in during their service in the Pacific from 22 August 1941-20 November 1945.
I am trying to establish what POW camp my Grandfather was held in, which Jap unit he was captured by, and what actions he had been carrying out at the time.
Can anyone point me in a good direction to find these things out, or better yet, would anyone know of their battlefield records????
Many Thanks in Advance-Ryan...

Hi Ryan: The 2/18 published its history in 1991. The author is James Burfitt. The title is "Against all Odds: the history of the 2/18 Battalion A.I.F. 1939-1945". The ASIN number is 0646064622. The book is OOP but you might be able to find a copy somewhere.
