I was wondering if anyone has more data on this or details?

I read that before Röhm´s arrest Hitler had met German Army High Command on Cruiser Deutschland and together they decided on the Röhm matter.

As well on 28.6. Röhm had been sent out of German officer union so that German army would not resist whatever SS and Hitler would be up to...

I don't really have that kind of info for you but--there is a book that will be published by Schiffer books (sometime later this year or early next year) ((no date set yet tho the book is completed)) anyway--the book will be by Charles Wooley--the same guy who did that excellent book on the Freikorps. My friend Rick told me about it and also participated in helping with that book.

Default Re: Hitler and German Army High Command 1934

Found some addition:

At the Army´s Bendlerstrasse hq on February 28,1934, Röhm was forced to sign a paper in Hitler´s presence that confirmed all the prerogatives of the Reichswehr and delegated only supporting military-training duties to the SA. The dispute between the two military forces was then officially washed away in a "reconciliatory breakfast", at which , according to Blomberg, the Führer delivered a "stirring" appeal to keep the peace.

Hardly had the ceremony ended, the table been cleared, and the guests departed, however, before Röhm exploded in a tirade of rage and frustration. He called Hitler a "Ridiculous corporal", accused him of disloyalty and shouted " If it can´t be done with Hitler, we´ll do it without him!" One of the witnesses, SA leader Viktor Lutze, scurried away from the champagne breakfast in the Huldschinsky Palace, Röhm´s hq in Berlin, to Hitler´s camp at Berchtesgarden to report what had happened. The Führer curtly informed him " We´ll just let this ripen."
