I am looking for information pertaining to my Grandfather's service during WWII. He never talked about it to his son(my father), and he passed away before I was old enough to ever talk to him about it. I'm sure the chances of someone reading this who knew him are just about zero, but I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. All my father know is that he was in the Army, he was a mess sergent, and that
he spent time in Europe. If anyone know of good websites or other information sources, I would surely appreciate it. My email is joe@securitycomputer.com. On the off chance someone would know him, his name is Clifford Highland, and he was from Two Harbors, Minnesota, USA. Thank You

Joe Highland

Hello Joe, and a very warm welome to these Forums !

I'm sure many of us would like to help with your quest, but the information you have is so sparse that the chances of anyone here 'coming up with something' are pretty slim.

Is there anything else you can tell us, especially unit / division, or maybe some dates. Does your family possess any letters / documents pertaining to your grandfather's wartime experience ?

Thank you for your reply. I will try and get as much information as I can about his unit, dates and places as I can. I'm just starting to research this, so any advice on how to proceed are greatly appreciated! Thanks Again,

Joe Highland
