I just happened to find a mention on "Milestone" agreement on 3rd April 1945(!), when it was agreed that the Britain would send 1,000 fighter aircraft, 300 tanks, 240,000 tons of aviation fuel and 24,000 tons of rubber ( Which they definitely could afford to do...??)

...and the USA was to deliver 3,000 planes, 3,000 tanks, 9,000 jeeps, 16,000 weapon carriers and 41,000 trucks.

The war was about to end..!!?? Was this part of the deal to make Russia attack Japan or some other kind of foolishness??
