Cool

Does anyone know of any on-line unit compositions or general background information for Wehrmacht Jäger units?

I'm particulary interested in Gebirgsjäger and Ski troops in Norway, Crete and Africa (obviously ski troops were not very neccesary in Africa - but I know that the Gebirgsjäger where there).

I'm interested in writing an essay on the German Jäger units that don't seem to be discussed in the same amount of depth as Falshirmjäger. I'm also interested in sculpting a line of both troop types in 28mm (for wargames) and think that a good bit of background reading and writing will help my interest and knowedge of such units.

If I manage to discover a decent amount of information to fill an essay and it is good enough for public consumption, I plan to publish it in Wargames Illustrated and on-line for other interested parties to read.

Thanks to The Red Baron who has already given me a good book list (one of which I have ordered form the web already!) and pointed me to this website.

Here's a website on the gebirgsjaeger I've checked out before - has a decent reference page if you're looking for books.

If you need TO&E's for Grebs and Jäger units, along with the various units themselves, PM me and I will see about E-mailing copies of "stuff" to you.
