Cool

I noticed that one battle action by Finnish Waffen-SS soldiers in early 1943 was written down in the "Golden book of German Army" and the boys got a recognition paper by Hitler himself.

I suppose this book was the kind where heroistic actions in warfare were marked. Anyone know more about the book, who started it or is it a historical piece of German military history since along time ago? Or did Hitler invent this?

How many names and actions did it have altogether at the end of the war?

Anyone got any idea?
