Woodie is an unknown quantity at this point
My father recently passed away, and I have his ribbons and medals. I have found all but one and need some help. This breast ribbon is gold/copper background with a blue and a white stripe side by side in the middle, with a battlestar. He served in the 41st Division and wounded on Mindanao, 23 May, 1945. I have checked the U.S. military ribbons and the Allied ribbons and cannot locate. Any help would be appreciated.

The gold/copper background is probably faded red. Sounds like what you have is a Philippine Liberation Medal. Star is indicative of a second award, i.e., two separate campaigns.
