Just watched a document on the North Africa battles.

In this it was claimed that the British took advantage in 1940 of the fact that the Italians did not situate the artillery and the troops close enough to each other so that they could co-operate and protect each other?

Anyone know if this was a key factor?

Kai, in the attacks this didn't help but one of the major issues was the static nature of italian defences. These defences were completely unprepare for the mobile nature of O'Connors attacks.
