Cool

Has anyone heard of this? I haven't got the faintest idea as Goa was a Portuguese colony until 1962.

"Yes, I also saw the movie, Sea Wolves: The Last Charge of the Calcutta Light Horse about an operation in Portuguese Goa (India). The Calcutta Light Horse was an India auxilliary force which assaulted the German ships Ehrenfels and Phoebe. "

And in...

item 4152

4152 Boarding Party.
J. Leasor. Indian edition, published 1979. 204pp. Index, map, illus. The attack by the Calcutta Light Horse on German shipping in the harbour at Goa on 9th March 1943.

And wasn't David Niven good in it?

I has always thought this movie was just that a movie. Until I read in a Sunday paper magazine supplement that these guys actually did exist and the movie was BASED on them.

I'd like to get a copy of this, in fact I'm ordering it now.

Thanks.
