Barkmann´s Panther 424

On " Aces of Reich" it is mentioned that Barkmann was forced to leave the other Panther and they decided to blow it up. However his own panther 424 was too close and the exploding ammo of the other Panther also set Barkmann´s Pather 424 on fire and destroyed it...

Anyone read this as well? Or how is this told elsewhere?

Kai the mention of this was first in the official Das Reich history by Weidinger 1943-45 volume, in German from Munin Verlag back in the late 1960's. It has since been produced in German and in English in Will Feys Armor Battles of the W-SS and other English tranlated books on Normandie.
