Have just discovered this group, via a friend who was looking into her father's service record.

I have never heard of this group, probably because, although the first the intention to have the corps was operating as a civilian organization.

Did some checking though, the firefighters that were killed are listed in Canada's Remembrance Book and had the service listed as ARMY.

Has anyone else ever heard of this unit?
